ADRC Consortium for Clarity in ADRD Research Through Imaging

Introduction to CLARiTI

ADRC Consortium for Clarity in ADRD Research Through Imaging (CLARiTI) is an exciting new project that will move us towards better understanding, treatment, and prevention of Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer’s disease often has multiple origins. CLARiTI is unique because it examines these multiple causes. We will enroll 2,000 participants and collect information about their brain health over time.

Project goals

  • Deepen understanding of overlapping causes of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
  • Empower individuals from all communities to prevent or effectively treat the multiple overlapping causes of dementia.
  • Support people of all backgrounds to get involved in brain research.

What does the project involve?

If you choose to join, we will ask you to do brain imaging and blood tests at the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) closest to you. These activities may be scheduled across multiple visits. We will ask CLARiTI participants to complete these activities when they first enroll in the project and again about two years later. By comparing the results from these two times, we can look for changes in brain health. Note that you will not receive any medicine or treatments in this project.
